Installing the Frooty Extension

Add Frooty to Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro on macOS and Windows, and get client feedback directly on your timeline.

System Requirements

Premiere Pro 2020 or newer and After Effects 2020 or newer on macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon M1/M2/M3/M4) or Windows 10/11. DaVinci Resolve integrations require Resolve Studio 18+; Final Cut Pro is supported on macOS.

Before You Start

Close Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Resolve before running the installer.

Step-by-Step for Premiere Pro & After Effects

Download the Main Installer (ZXP)

Download the Universal ZXP package — it works on both Mac and Windows with ZXPInstaller, Anastasiy's Extension Manager, or aescripts. Prefer a native installer instead?

Download ZXP — Main Installer Mac (.pkg)Windows (.exe)v1.6.4 · Premiere Pro & After Effects 2020 – 2026+

Run the Installer

ZXP: open it with ZXPInstaller or Anastasiy's Extension Manager and click Install. Mac: double-click the downloaded .pkg file, then follow prompts to install. Windows: double-click the downloaded .exe installer — no admin needed. Restart Premiere Pro or After Effects when complete.

Open the Frooty Panel in Premiere

Launch Premiere Pro or After Effects and open the panel from the top menu bar:

Window → Extensions → Frooty

Dock it beside your timeline or Program Monitor, then proceed to connect your account.

Docked Workspace Layout

Frooty seamlessly docks beside your sequence. Reviewer comments appear with clickable timestamps that seek your playhead instantly.

Using After Effects? Enable Scripting Once

After Effects requires permission for extensions: open After Effects → Preferences → Scripting & Expressions and enable “Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network”.

Manual Install (ZXP / Advanced)

Prefer to install by hand or using ZXPInstaller? Download the signed ZXP package (v1.6.4), and extract it to your system directory:
